1955 – 2017
John White of Clearwater BC passed away on April 27, 2017 at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops BC. He was 62 years of age. Born in Athabasca, Alberta, on January 5, 1955, John was predeceased in 1982 by his father, Ben White, and in 2001 by his mother, Eleanor White (nee Sinclair).
He is survived by his loving partner of 21 years, Bev Leinweber, his sister Helen (Brian) Milton, brothers Rory White and Jerry (Lauri) White, nephews Matt (Crystal) White, Shane White, nieces Kristy White, Jillian White, Chelsea (Adam) White, Nicole White, Kara (Clayton) Sterling and many lifelong friends.
John grew up and went to school in Vernon, BC. He moved to Clearwater in 1988. John became a licensed auto mechanic and a building contractor. He had extreme love of family. John was hard working and took pride in all he did. He was curious and well informed, a man of many talents. He loved motorcycles, cars, car racing, wood working, cooking, guitars and politics amongst many other things. John loved people and was always anxious to lend a hand. To many John was a friend and mentor who can’t be replaced. John will remain in our hearts forever.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Varma and all the wonderful nurses on 4 North in Royal Inland Hospital. The care and compassion you showed to John was amazing.
