Celebration of Life

John W. Dyck

Dad passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on June 12, 2013. John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Winnifred (nee Unger). He is also survived by his sons, Ernie(Val), Robert, Reg and Stan (Patty) and daughters Jeanie (Sid) and Rosella (Claude). John is also survived by his precious grandsons Chris, Braden, Nathan, Nick and Dillon and his granddaughters Amber (Blake), Ashley, Amanda and Cassidy. Also survived by John’s sisters, Margaret and Helen and brothers Pete and Ben. Predeceased by his brother Henry. Born in Clarkborough, Sask., April 22, 1929, he met and married his sweetheart June 28, 1959, in Manitoba, and later moved to Lumby, BC where he worked in sawmills until he retired. Dad loved the outdoors, enjoyed his farm and especially his horses in later years. He instilled in his children a strong work ethic. We would like to thank Vernon Jubilee Hospital and Dr. Barss and all the nursing staff who helped make dad as comfortable as possible in his last days.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Door Ministries. All John’s friends are invited to Celebrate his life on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Lavington Baptist Church.
