On Saturday August 18 2018 John "Oscar" George Hoyseth, Loving Husband and Father of 5 children, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Vernon Hospice House.
Oscar was born March 14, 1927 in Spruce Home, Sask to Johanas and Ruby {Procter} Hoyseth. He worked on the family farm till he started working at the Federal Penitentiary. His first passion was dancing and then playing baseball, followed by numerous other sports.
He was a man of all trades, from working in the garden to making bread. He was involved with all his kids activities and took them camping often. He always had time to play cards and board games. He liked to keep busy around the house, helping neighbours and family.
Oscar was preceded in death by both his parents, wife Norma {58 yrs married}, brothers Elmer, Arnold, Les, and sisters Doris and Eddie.
He is survived by his children Lauree {Stewart} Hill, Neil {Becky} Hoyseth, Marilee {Wally} Gallinger, Bruce {Regina} Hoyseth and Derek Hoyseth, and his 2 Sisters Alice Wiepert and Shirley {Howard} Wray. He has 11 grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren and also numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Oscar was Blessed to meet another Love late in life, Lucille Graves, and they were together for 5 yrs.
On Oscars request, there will be no funeral service.
