John E. Burgess of Vernon B.C. passed away at the age of 81 years early on Monday morning May 23, 2016. John is survived by his wife, Olive; children: John (Kim), Jody (Dawna), Jeff (Jacquelyn), Bryn (Cherie), and James (Sharon); grandchildren: William, Rebecca, Sean, Chantal, Greg, Veronica, Jessica, Brandon, Gavin, and Kolt; step-children: Michelle, Will, and Guy; step-grandchildren: Jennifer, Trevor, Troy, Sarah, Kori, Shelby, Kayla, Joshua, Krychelle; great grandchildren: Tatiana, James, Mason, Mekhi, Brittney, Mya, Braden, Asher, Austin, and Brooklyn, Kaleb, Jacob, Allison, Everley, Joshua, Katelynn, Lukas, James, Jesse, Jayme, and Frank.
A Memorial Service will be held for Jack at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Alternatives Chapel (2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong, BC). In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.ca) or The Heart and Stroke Foundation of British Columbia, Yukon (www.heartandstroke.bc.ca).
