JOHN KLASSEN passed away at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Sunday, January 30, 2005. Aged 92 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Katherine of Armstrong, children Marilyn (George) Trombley, Doreen (Don) Langlois, Jim (Ruth), Linda (Jim) Todd, Bill (Charmagne) and Bob (Annette); 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and friends. Predeceased by grandson Clinton Todd. John was the last of his family, born in south central Manitoba and married Katherine in 1936. John was a mechanic by trade, he also dairy farmed in Saskatchewan and operated a General Store and Implement Dealership at McMahon, Sask. He moved to the BC coast in 1952 where he worked at M-B Mill, and later returned to dairy farming at Aldergrove then at Lumby. They moved to Armstrong in 1976 and have resided here since. He enjoyed his family, outdoors and woodworking. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2005, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Hall, Reverend Cory Rundell officiating.
