JOHN ARTHUR PHILLIPS passed away at Vernon Hospice House on Wednesday, February 2, 2005. Aged 76 years. John will be lovingly remembered by wife Anna of Grindrod; children Brenda (Dave) Kroschinsky of Penticton, Bruce (Sue) of Enderby, Dennis (Debbie) of Vernon, Denyse (Maurice) Ethier of Prince George, Debbie (Ron) Needham of Calgary; grandchildren Travis, Kaley, Caesy (Cindy), Rebecca, Josh, Courtney, Jeff, Corey, Troy; great-grandson Nixon; siblings Ed of Sundre, Don of Edmonton, Dorothy of Turner Valley, Wes of Sundre, Gordon of Didsbury, Leonard of Longview and Marie of Golden; extended family and friends. Predeceased by grandson Tanner, siblings Ken, Carmen, Hazel, Edith and Bob. John was born and raised in Alberta. He operated Sundre Transport for 13 years. In 1963 he moved to Grindrod where he owned a Dairy Farm and later co-owned and operated OK Stockliners for eight years. He then drove logging truck until 1990. John loved his family, farming, yard work and helping neighbours. A Memorial Service was held Saturday, February 5, 2005, at 3:00 p.m., at St. Andrew’s United Church, Enderby. Reverend Greg Milne officiating. The family would like to thank staff at Hospice House, Dr. Fedorchuk and Dr. Hardy for the kind care given to John.
