John William Antoniow, 83, of Eston, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Born in Eston, Saskatchewan to Thomas and Mary Antoniow, he lived most of his life in Eston. John attended school in Lovedale, Saskatchewan.

John was a passionate man who enjoyed farming. He worked on the family homestead farm in the McMorran District north of Eston until 2000 when he retired. During the winters John worked as a barber (for 50 years), electrician and taxi service for taking his boys to the rink. In his spare time he also enjoyed curling, having coffee, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and working around the farm. 

John was extremely loving and proud of his two sons, Timothy of Edmonton, and Barry of Vernon. He is also survived by his wife and best friend, Dora Antoniow; sisters, Helen of Thunder Bay and Tillie of Kelowna; nieces, nephews and extended family. 

It was John’s wish to be remembered and laid to rest in Eston during the summer. Service and memorial will take place in July TBA, 2016.
