Jordan Gert Siegmueller

March 9, 1992 – July 27, 2016

It is with great sorrow that Pete and Trina Siegmueller announce the accidental passing of their much loved son, Jordan Siegmueller on Wednesday July 27, 2016, at the young age of 24.

Jordan was born in Williams Lake, BC on March 9, 1992. He attended elementary school in Williams Lake until grade four. Then in 2001, he and his family moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta. After living there for five years, they returned to Williams Lake where he graduated from Columneetza Senior Secondary in 2010.

From a very young age Jordan was a natural athlete and a reliable teammate. He played soccer, basketball, and hockey, excelling in all of them. Later, he went on to coach and mentor in both basketball and golf. It was when Jordan was 15 that he took up golf, which quickly became his passion. He spent endless hours on the course and excelled at a competitive level, including four men’s club championships, making the cut at the BC Men’s Golf Amateur, and his coveted hole-in-one. His love of golf took him to his choice of careers and employment at the Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club for the past seven years. Working his way up through the ranks, he was most recently promoted to the Pro Shop Manager position.

Jordan meant the world to his family, and they were an important part of his life. He spent countless hours enjoying playing board games, card games, puzzles, golfing, family dinners, and watching sports on television.

Also important in Jordan’s life, were his wide and varied circle of friends. They will tell you that he was someone that they could count on, whether it was to help them through a tough time, or to give them a laugh.

Jordan is greatly missed by his loving parents Pete and Trina (Latin) Siegmueller of Williams Lake; sisters Jennifer (Brett) Siegmueller of Vernon, Angela Siegmueller of Williams Lake and niece Seraya Olson; grandmother Irmgard Siegmueller of Vernon; aunts and uncles Kirk Latin of Calgary, Paige Latin of Kamloops, Trent Latin of Vancouver, and Mark (Candy) Siegmueller of Lumby; cousins Jaye (Randy) Coward, Ali (Travis) Siegmueller. He is also survived by his great aunts and uncles, Mary Skipp, Alix Latin, Wilma Hillacre, Clarice (Roy) Hertz, Trudy (Glen) Bews, Fred Standen, and Glen Standen. Jordan will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, co-workers, and golf club members.

Jordan was pre-deceased by his grandfather Gert Siegmueller, step-grandfather Keith Guenette, and grandparents George and June Latin.

Although Jordan’s story, and his journey, have ended so much earlier than we had ever dreamed, we find comfort in knowing he had family who he loved and cared about, friends to spend time and laugh with, and a passion for a game that he excelled at. We know he touched others’ lives and hearts as much as he touched ours. His light shone bright, just not long enough.

Everyone is invited to join his family at a Celebration for Life for Jordan, Sunday August 7th, 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club If you wish to speak, there will be an open microphone. As well, there will be a book to write favorite memories in (or bring pre-printed).
