Joseph James Vincent (Moose)

We regret to announce the passing at Vernon Jubilee Hospital of Joseph James Vincent McLaughlin, (known as “Moose” to his family and friends) on November 1st, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Moose was a career military engineer for 46 years, a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 25 of Vernon. Vincent (Moose) is survived by his loving wife Simonne of 52 years, two daughters, Donna (Joe) Fonseca of Vancouver, B.C., Shannon (Bob) Nantel of 100 Mile House, B.C., one son, Barrie (Nicky) of Trinidad, six loving grandchildren, Jan-Marie Fonseca of Australia, Jessica Fonseca of Vancouver, B.C., Michelle Nantel of Edmonton, Alberta, Sarah Nantel of Cold Lake, Alberta, Kyle and Christopher of Trinidad, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends, Al and Edna Grutchfield of Vernon, B.C. Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 25, 3300-31st Avenue, Vernon, B.C. on Thursday, November 8th, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. with Father Martin Peyton officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. Those friends wishing to make memorial donations in memory of Vincent (Moose) may do so to the McMurtry – Baerg Cancer Clinic, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon, B.C., V1T 5L2.
