We regret to announce the sudden passing of Joyce Marie Bulwer on Thursday October 8th at VJH at 81 years of age.
She spent most of her young life with horses, jumping, barrel racing and pleasure riding. In her later years she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, walking, gardening and family get togethers.
She was born in Prince Albert, Sask. on May 30, 1928 moving to Vernon in 1943.
She was married to the love of her life Leonard Rodwell Bulwer on Nov 7, 1949.
She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her two daughters of Vernon, Laura (Roy) Heinrichs, Lynn (Don) Knox, 6 grandchildren, Dan (Dana) Heinrichs of Vernon, Lee (Gloria) Knox of Lethbridge, Melinda Heinrichs of Abbotsford, Cory (Teri) Knox of Vernon, Joel Knox of Vernon, Kyle (Heather) Knox of Nanaimo. Four great-grandchildren all of Vernon, Sydney Knox, Sierra Knox, Aiden Heinrichs and Keira Knox.
She is also survived by one brother, Jay (June) Lalonde, brother in law Archie Delange and sister Lorraine Lancour all of Vernon, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Len in 1973, her parents, Frank and Helena, brother Lloyd, sisters Pearl, Opal, baby Ruby, Francis, Olive, Noreen.
By her request there will be a graveside service for family and a get together for family and friends at 980 Mount Begbie Drive at 3 pm on Tuesday October 13, 2009.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
