Joyce Vera Cavanagh
passed away peacefully at Vernon on Sunday,
May 23, 2010. Aged 65 years.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered by
husband Paul Cavanagh of Vernon; sons
Gordon (Shelly) Hassard of Revelstoke and
Brent (Brenda) Hassard of Enderby; step
daughter Shirley Gilchrist; grandchildren
Gordon Earl, Drew and Sarah; step
grandchildren Trevor and Tristan; siblings

(Don) Sagh of Salmon Arm, Betty (Allen)
Baird of Enderby, George (Deina) Preece of
Enderby, Carol (Ken) MacPherson of Kelowna,
Vera (Sandy) Holgate of Golden, Ruth (Eugene)
Neden of Vernon, Rita (Leonard) Litzenberger of Vernon,
Don (Carolynn) Preece of Enderby; mother-in-law Doreen Cavanagh;
brothers-in-law Chuck (Sue) Cavanagh and Michael Cavanagh; many nieces
& nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Seville and Helen
Preece, fi rst husband Earl Gordon Hassard and brother Wayne Preece.
Born at Paradise Hill, Sk, Joyce moved with her parents to Grandview
Bench in 1958. Joyce resided in Enderby for many years until moving to
Vernon in 1994. She loved family, cooking & entertaining, gardening,
camping, the outdoors and feeding the deer that frequented the yard.
A Graveside Committal will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 29 at
Cliffside Cemetery, Enderby. Kelly Grittner offi ciating. Donations in memory
of Joyce may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank Drs. Mohammed and Soucic for their
