Joyce Lucille MacNiven (Beach)
Also known as The Piano Lady
Joyce was born to Percy and Dora Beach Feb 15, 1931, just outside Weyburn, SK. She passed away on April 6, 2017, with all of her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband David in 2001, her brother Bob Beach Mar 25, 2017, and grandson Shane MacNiven in 2012.
Our mom loved to play the piano and she encouraged each one of us to enjoy music in one form or another. She was a long-standing member of Vernon Pigeon & Poultry Club. Over the years she played in several local bands, spreading her love of music & people everywhere. She gave us 6 kids a wonderful life and we presented her with 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Mom never missed one of those birthdays, anniversaries, graduations or accomplishments. She never, ever, let us leave without feeling so loved and appreciated. It was always “my Susy, my Donnie, my Annie, my Matt, my Percy, my Sandy…” She showed each one of us what loving unconditionally was all about.
Mom is survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews, her sister Margaret Massey, sister-in-law Beatrice Beach, her 6 children and their families as follows:

A service will be held at Grace Bible Church, 5661 Silver Star Rd, Vernon, BC on Saturday April 15 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the foundation of your choice.
