In loving memory ~
Sadly, our mother Kaethe (Katie) Buchner passed away after a short fight with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Kaethe was predeceased by her loving husband Gerhard of 63 years and is survived by her three children, daughters: Helga Nordstrom (Ken), Ingrid Carey (John) and son: Gordon (Diana) grandchildren: Kim (Kitty), Barbara (Ross), Ian (Brittany), Patrick (Kayleigh), Eric, Katelynn (Ryan) great grandchildren Jake, Elisabeth, Braden, Liam and Carter; along with cherished nieces and nephews.
Kaethe was born in Duren Germany as the oldest of four children. In 1953 Kaethe with her husband Gerhard and daughter Helga immigrated to Canada. They were first located in Fraser Lake for a cold winter before relocating to Quesnel for 13 years. Then on to Prince George to raise the children and have her career at Woodwards. Kaethe and Gerhard moved to Vernon to be in the sunny Okanagan in 1988. There they enjoyed their retirement.
Summers in Vernon and wintering in Yuma AZ.Kaethe enjoyed cards, lots of complaining when she was losing. Loved her Bridge and many other card games. Very happy being in the swimming pools in Vernon and Yuma. Mom you will be greatly missed, love always your family.
