Karen Managre


Beautiful wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2002 at the young age of 56. Born and raised in the Okanagan, she graduated from nursing at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, in 1969. Karen was a warm and compassionate RN at the Royal Columbian Hospital (New Westminster), for over 20 years. She loved painting the windows in emergency at Christmastime and doing all kinds of artwork for her community, friends and family. Karen’s hobbies included photography, swimming, skiing, art collecting, writing, travelling and most of all, fine dining. Karen will always be remembered for her mischievous sense of humour and positive outlook on life. Karen was predeceased by her loving parents Petie and Al Kaulback. Left to mourn her passing are beloved husband Ric, daughter Tracey (Rob) Anderson of Ft. Langley, son Jason (Kelly) Havixbeck of Calgary, brothers Grant Kaulback of Maui, HI and Dennis (Lyn) Kaulback of Revelstoke, nephew Alex Kaulback of Revelstoke and many, many friends. Services were held at the Vernon Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Box 1301 Vernon, BC.
