It is with great sadness that the family of Karin Lutz (Stabeck) announces the passing of their dear mother, grandmother and auntie, aged 81 years. Karen quietly slipped away to sleep on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Shuswap Lake Hospital in Salmon Arm, after a short period of unexpected illness. Karin emigrated from Norway at age three and had lived in Brooks, Alberta, Salmon Arm and Enderby. She nursed at the old Enderby Hospital and worked along side her husband Bill in the family business, Enderby Electric. Karin had a great love for cooking, gardening and travel. As one of Jehovah’s faithful Witnesses, Karin had a very strong belief in God and his Kingdom Promises. She was predeceased by Bill, her beloved husband of 53 years, Gary her oldest son and her three day old baby girl. Karin is survived by children Betty-Ann (Gil) Phillips, Candy (Greg) Schley and Dan (Korine) Lutz; grandchildren Shelli and Kristi, Calen and Taylor, Andrew and Kristen; great grandchildren Shaun and Lee-ann. She also leaves her brothers Ovar and Arne Stabeck, many nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 115 George Street, Enderby, BC on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation and arrangements in the care of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, Armstrong, 546-7237.
