We announce with sadness the passing of Katherine (Kay) Green on July 23, 2017, at the age of 96, in Vernon, BC. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Kay lived briefly in England, before settling in Vernon after WWII. Kay will be remembered for her unconditional love for family, her quiet caring manner and her love of nature. Nurturing garden flowers was an enduring passion for Kay and it gave both her and those around her pleasure. Kay was an avid reader of biographies and news of the world around her.
Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim (2006) and her beloved daughter Jill Ziemer (nee Green 2016). Kay is lovingly remembered by her son Gary, her daughter-in-law Florence and her cherished grandsons Michael and Jonathan. Kay is further survived by her son-in-law Lorne Ziemer, her sister Lillian and extended family.
Our family wishes to extend our deep gratitude for the faithful support by the staff of Canterbury Court, and to Dr. Dippenaar for his caring over the years.
