Katherine (Kay) Hoath
Kay was born April 10, 1915 in Maxstone Sask to Anton and Paulina Kwasnicki. She was the 13th of 15 children. Kay passed away January 15, 2007 in Victoria B.C.
Kay married Elgin Hoath (deceased 1997) and helped raise his daughter Joyce from a previous marriage. They also had 4 children together. Kay was a pleasure to be around. She had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes, play cards and any other games introduced to her. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, bowling and dancing. Her great joy was her children who she was always there for. Her wonderful cooking was sure to put on a few unwanted pounds but it was certainly worth it. She spent her time in later years to good causes, donating her time to the Upper Room Mission in Vernon, Catholic ladies thrift shop and any other causes she was needed for. We all feel fortunate being born to this wonderful woman and we will miss her greatly but the memory of her will always lift our spirits.
Kay will be sadly missed by her children, son Terry Hoath, of Sooke, B.C., Gail (John) Peel of Edmonton AB., Tom (Barb) Hoath of Aldergrove B.C., Keith (Trish) Hoath of Sooke, B.C. She had 7 grandchildren: Jason Hunt of Edmonton AB. Jennifer (Claus) Thietke, of Peace River AB. Jared Hunt of Edmonton AB., Vicky (Colin) Lohr of Hines Creek AB., Carly Hoath of Aldergrove B.C. and Evan and Elena Hoath of Sooke, B.C.Also 8 great grandchildren, Austin, Tyrell, Nyla, Kameron, Keaton, Tatyana, Damien and Alex.
We would like the thank the special staff at the Priory in Colwood for the loving compassionate care given to mother and her family during the time she was there.
We are sure Mother is having her dance with Lawrence Welk.
