In Loving Memory ~ We painfully regret to announce the unexpected passing of our so beloved Kaylee Jennica.
Kaylee was always a bright and shining light in our family, a ray of sunshine since the very first day she was born.
She was our whole reason for being, our reason for enduring many of life's hard times and we are devastated at her passing.
Kaylee always did what she could to help people and make people feel better. When she was 6 & 7 she was already a dedicated caregiver for her Great Grandpa Walker (Matt's side) who had moved into our home to be cared for in his final years, and she was always telling her Gramma Sher not to worry, she was going to look after her to when she got old, she wouldn't see her "put into a home". She truly had a golden heart.
Kaylee was a very responsible girl and she had many wishes and dreams she was pursuing, and was very excited about her upcoming graduation and to get on with her future.
Kaylee had her first health issue show up when she was 6 weeks old, we will never forget when she was in Children's hospital for the first time and had needle after needle in her 6-week-old head without any sedation or anything for the pain, her Gramma Sher cradled her in her arms and looked into her beautiful eyes while they were doing it because her parents were so distraught, and although the pain had to be horrendous for a brand new baby, her beautiful blue eyes remained locked in on her grammas and she took it better than most adults ever would.
Kaylee was resilient and kind and giving of herself in spite of all life through her and our families way, and even though her health issues were ongoing and threatened to halt her goals, she pushed through in spite of them in order to complete her schooling in time and to make sure she could graduate with her school friends.
Kaylee was looking towards obtaining her Red Seal in trades college upon completion in either Heavy Equipment Operations or Welding, she wasn't yet totally sure which one she would take but was not afraid of any challenges they would bring her.
Kaylee had a very large circle of friends who all considered her a best friend because she was a best friend to all.
All of her family and extended family are absolutely heartbroken as with her warm and giving and bright personality she had such a close relationship with everyone. Many of the family friends considered Kaylee their niece or grandchild even though they were not blood-related because her personality was such as it was so many are hurting right now.
She was a sweet gentle girl and yet took absolutely no crap from anyone and if they gave it out she always would make sure she put them in their place, she stood up for what was right and had no problem expressing her opinion.
Her loss will be felt by everyone in our vast circle and her passing will be so hard to get through.
Kaylee was predeceased by her grandfather Ken Kolenski, the great grandparents in both the Goodlad and Kolenski side of the families who felt blessed to have had her in their lives and vice versa, her Uncles Jamie, Bruce, Chuck, Cam, and so many other family members who we are sure to have her close under their wings again.
Kaylee is survived by her devoted and loving parents Matt and Jenn, her grandparents Jim and Anne, on Jenn's side, and Sherry Lynn on her father's side, Nana Pat on her father's side, her Great Uncles Steve Walker and Bert Halters, her best friend Mackenzie Meres, cousin Cortney Posella, and her Mom Carrie, her dogs Mickey and Turbo and her cat Capone and countless family members by blood and those connected by the heart.
We have lost our reason for life and we will forever miss you Our Girl.
We will never, never stop missing you Kaylee and the pain is intense and immeasurable.
Be safe in the love and light, nothing can hurt you anymore. We will all do our best to support each other and carry on for you. Dance again in the arms of your uncles until we can dance together again.
We love you so much and we know the love you had for us stayed behind in our hearts and the love we have for you, you took with you. The light in our life has gone but lives on in the hearts of each one of us. We will all hold on to that love and Kaylee's light, until we are together again.
Services will be held at All Saints Anglican Church in Vernon British Columbia, on January 21, 2023, at 2 p.m., and will be live streamed on All Saints Anglican Church website, Vernon. Come as you are, come comfortable, because that was our Kaylee, and she would want you to do the same.
There will be a tea to follow in the tea room at the church.

A legacy for Kaylee will be created in the near future with the designation being Charles Bloom Graduation Fund in Kaylee's name.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, provided us with food, and encouragement and have donated to the Go Fund Me page, and other ways, thank you Melissa Skelton for creating that page for Matt and Jenn, the expenses were unexpected and overwhelming, by doing this and everyone who has donated you have all eased a huge financial burden that no one was prepared for.
Last but not least thank you to the BC Ambulance Service and the doctors and nurses and support staff who worked so hard to bring Kaylee back to us, we know you worked effortlessly and we are so grateful to you all for doing what you could. Your efforts will never be forgotten, we know you did your best each and every one of you.
