(1924-2022) ~ Mr. Kenneth John Ross passed away at Polson Long Term Care, Vernon BC, on April 16, 2022, at the age of 97. Born in Calgary, Alberta, he grew up in the Parkhill neighborhood.
He joined the Navy at the age of 18, patrolling the west coast of Canada during World War 2. He married Joan McLean in 1949 and together they raised three children.
Ken worked as a City of Calgary Fire Department dispatcher for 32 years.
He and Joan retired to Vernon, BC in 1982. He enjoyed gardening, photography, and his daily walks.
He was predeceased by his wife Joan Margaret Ross in 2007.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Shirley (Kelvin) Nielsen; and his sons Kenneth Jr (Anita) and Stephen; grandchildren, Logan, Cole, Michaela, and Kassidy. As well as a number of extended family.
