Passed away on Sept 11, 2007 at the age of 74. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Susan, son Mike (Judy) of Castlegar, daughter Tina Hejndorf (Soren) of Denmark, Stepsons Chris (Shannon) Spence of Vernon and Jon Spence of Whistler. Grandsons Evan, Jake and Victor. Granddaughter Lena (Beau) of High River Alberta and great grandson Tristen. Knut immigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in the Vancouver area. Knut was a baker by trade and owned bakeries in South Vancouver and Squamish. He worked for Safeway for 20 years and retired at 64 after working as a baker for 50 years. He loved the interior where he could enjoy the great outdoors. Knut loved to fly fish and was introduced to the sport when he first came to Canada. Camping was a great pastime and he thoroughly enjoyed twirling Susan around the dance floor. He loved music and when he got the opportunity to teach line dancing with Susan it was hard to keep him off the floor.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers those wishing to do so may send donations to their charity of choice. At Knut’s request, there will not be a funeral.
