LAURETTE LAVOIE

LAURETTE LAVOIE

Laurette Irene Lavoie

Laurette was born to Joe and Eva L’Heureux in Jackfish Lake, Sk. She married Peter John Lavoie on January 26, 1942. Laurette was predeceased by Peter on January 24, 2006, an infant son and an infant daughter. She was predeceased by her two brothers Ernest and Fernand.

Laurette is survived by their three children – Roger (Sharon), Marlene and Denis; five grandchildren – Bruce, Mark, Kathi, Chris and Mike; eight great-grandchilden – Garner, Darienne, Renee, Christopher, Maysen, Emily, Jaxxen and Stella.

Laurette is survived by her 4 sisters – Noella Byhre, Gladys Thompson, Lorraine Bru and Beulah Corbeil; three sister-in-laws – Corrine L’Heureux, Reine Lessard and Leona Lavoie.

She lived a full life and a life she loved. Along with this was her strong Christian faith. She loved to play bridge, loved to work hard and loved to cook – oh how she loved to cook a meal for her friends and family. She had a wide range of friends, she was an organizer and she was always ready to go.

We would like to thank Dr. Perrier for his compassion and care given to Mom all these years. Thanks to her niece Juliette and to our friend Alice. For those wishing to donate to a charity, we suggest donating to Juvenile Diabetes in support of her great-granddaughter Emily.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 A. M. with the Reverend Father Dale Normandeau, celebrant at St. James’ Roman Catholic Church in Vernon.

Arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155.
