MCGRANDLE, Lawrence, age 65 died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday,January 14th at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. Lawrence will bedearly missed by his loving wife of 30 years Judy, his four children,Russell and Christopher of Calgary, Steven of Vancouver and Jodi (Bill)Hermakin of Vernon, his mother Mary McGillivray of Salmon Arm, brother Michael of Lloydminster, sister Janet (Brent) McGrandle, sister Denise(Daniel) McGillivray of Terrace, along with four loving grandchildren,Ryker, Lawrence, Alora and Haylie and his faithful dog companion Webster.
Born and raised in Alberta in 1978, Lawrence decided to move from Calgary to BC and settled in Salmon Arm where he stayed for over 28 years, most of those on Silver Creek Road. Lawrence was a voracious reader, never able to put a book down, but his true passion was learning everything there was about Canadian History. He liked to say he was still an Albertan at heart and especially loved the Foothills area where he and Judy stopped often. Friends of Lawrence will remember his infectious laugh, his ability to fix almost anything and where the coffee pot was always on for those who dropped by. At the request of the family and Lawrence, there will be no service.
