Leah was born on July 4th, 1920 in New Westminster, B.C. and passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2020 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 100 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter; Brenda (John) Gratton, her grandchildren; Darryl Poirier, Randy (Alana) Poirier and Lucien (Gracinda) Laliberte, her great grandchildren; Adam, Josh, Jacob, David, LJ, Delinda and Kyson, her nephew; Hector (Carole) Le Bleu, her niece Ramona (Arthur) Howard, her very good friend; Donna Myers along with numerous extended family members and friends.
Leah was preceded in death by her first husband; Fernie Sabourin, her second husband; Paul Fontaine, her brothers; Romeo Le Bleu and Rene Le Bleu and by her parents; Eugene and Amanda Le Bleu.
Leah's passions in life included her home, gardening, cooking, knitting, crocheting and her church. She truly lived for her church.
A Funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 19th, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church with Reverend Father Peter Nguyen officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hector for the wonderful care of his aunt Leah and her affairs over many years, to the nurses and staff at Polson Extended Care Unit for the exemplary way in which they cared for Leah during her time there and to Dr. George Borchert for his care over the years.
