May 2, 1931 – September 10, 2007
Leo Berg was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He passed away peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Leo is survived by his wife, Barbara, son Lawrence (Mary), grandchildren, Morgan and Evan of Vernon B.C., step sons, Derald (Arlene), Ron (Marcelle Horutko, step grandchildren, Dustin and Crandell, step great grandchildren, Breanna, all of Quesnel, B.C., nephew John (Marjorie) Sager, Judy (Eric) Metzler, their families, extended
families and his many friends. Special thanks to his loyal friend, Peter Andersen, who always found time to stop in and say hi.
Leo was predeceased by his parents, Ole and Sigrid, brother Olaf, sister Mildred, and first wife Sandra.
Leo came to Kelowna from Calgary in 1962 and resided in the Kelowna-Vernon area. He was a butcher and meat representative
for various companies. He was an avid curler, bowler, liked a good party, and loved to cook and travel. He will always be
remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour.
The last two years Leo was a resident of Heritage Square Care Facility. A special thanks is extended to the staff for their
wonderful care and compassion.
A gathering of family and friends was held at his son’s home Saturday,
September 15, 2007 with Marjorie Sager officiating. Cremation and arrangements were in the care of Personal Alternative Funeral Services of Vernon.
