September 6, 1936 – August 31, 2015

Les was born in Tofield Alberta. He was raised on and farmed with his dad and in-laws in Tofield. In 1958, he married Wilma Ford and shortly after they had 5 children. In 1973, they packed up their family and moved to Armstrong, BC. Les spent that first winter working a Vernon Fruit Union Packing House. In the spring of 1974, he returned to Farming for the Noble family and stayed there until he retired in 1999. Late in his working years Les and Wilma did a little traveling. After retirement they did a little more traveling , took up fishing and RVing. In recent years they did a lot of coffee drinking with friends. Les was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, granddaughter Sandy-Ann, his sister Doris and his brother Bob. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Wilma, sons Dave (Bonnie), Doug and Don (Darcy), Daughters Dianne (Russell) and Debbie, 9 grandchildren and their spouses and 7 great grandchildren, his sister Edna and his twin sister Esther (Mike), 3 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, his son-in-law and many more relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday September 7th, 2015 at the Armstrong Bible Chapel (2145 Rosedale Avenue, Armstrong, BC). In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Vernon Hospice House (3506 27 Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4) or a charity of choice. Memories of Les can be shared at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
