LILIAN MAUD GARROW
14 May 1914 – 21 February 2007
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Lilian, at Hospice House in Vernon. She was a longtime Vernon resident. Lilian is survived by sons: Don (Bugs) and wife Beverly, and Edward (Ted) and wife Joan, all of Calgary; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Mainer of Victoria, BC, and several nieces and nephews. Lilian was predeceased by her husband, Pipe Major D. G. (Scotty) Garrow in 1972, her youngest son, C. F. (Frank) Garrow in 2003, and her brother, W.H. Maynard. Lilian was born in Brantford, ON, and came to Vernon at the age of seven. She resided here until her passing. Following her wishes, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Lilian to Vernon and District Hospice Society, 3506 – 27th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4. Cremation arrangements were in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 542-1055.
