Liliane Louise Nedellec (nee Ferre) was born on February 3rd, 1931 in St. Brieux, Saskatchewan and was called Home to be with her Lord on March 23rd, 2017 at Vernon, B.C., having reached the age of 86 years.
Liliane will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ida (Gary) Kirkpatrick, Charles (Lynn) Nedellec, Lillian Huwer, Ray (Tammy) Nedellec and Odile (Rod) Johnson; twelve grandchildren, Chris, Steve, Ed, Kendra, Jon (Amber), Karen (Justin), Nicole (Darren), Jennine, Isaiah, Zack, Kimberly (Brad) and Dustin; five great-grandchildren, Kierra, Ryder, Brooklyn, Mya and Kenzie; three sisters, Similienne, Hortense and Lorraine; one brother, Norman (Linda); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Victor; one brother, Laurent; one sister, Antoinette; and one son-in-law, Pete.
Liliane was born on the family farm to parents, Louis and Antoinette Ferre. Growing up she worked alongside her brothers and sisters there until her marriage to Victor Nedellec in 1951. Together they then farmed and raised their five children in Saskatchewan until 1968 when they moved their family to B.C., settling first in Salmon Arm, then to Trinity Valley, north of Lumby, in 1970. There they farmed, logged and operated a small sawmill until Victor passed away in 2009. Liliane remained in Trinity Valley until June of 2016 when she moved into Vernon, residing at Carrington Place until her death.
The Funeral Service was held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Paul Murphy officiating. Interment followed in the Lumby Cemetery.
