October 25, 1938 - September 13, 2018
Linda was born on October 25th, 1938 to Jonathan and Mary Ostle in Nanaimo, B.C. and passed away peacefully on September 13th, 20018 after spending one night in the North Okanagan Hospice, Vernon, B.C. with Barb and Suzie by her side.

Linda is now reunited with her husband Bill, to whom she was married for 50 years, who predeceased her in 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara; her son, Bruce; two sisters-in-law, Sandra (Jim) and Dora (Dick); and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends that she cherished dearly. Linda was a long time resident of North Vancouver, B.C. before moving to Vernon.

Linda held a variety of jobs in her younger years but was most proud of being a homemaker. She loved to garden, hold dinner parties and spend time with family and friends. Linda faced the adversity of the last several years with strength, kindness and humour.

In respecting Linda's wishes, she was cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Linda to their local SPCA.

We, Linda's family would like to express our appreciation to the Community Home Support services and programs (Daybreak) that enhanced her quality of life and made it possible for her to spend her final months in the comfort of her own home. To Linda's care aides, we did not take this path alone because you were beside us and made it possible. We will be forever grateful for the love, respect, laughter and support you gave us.

Cremation arrangements were made with Bethel Funeral Chapel Ltd.,
