Our hearts are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Lloyd Hamilton on January 13, 2018 in Vernon, BC.
Lloyd was a devoted, loving husband to Debbie for 39 years. He is survived by his children Elisha (Scott) Cavill, Tyler (Shailyn), 2 grandchildren Kayden and Aria, mother Hazel Hamilton, mother-in-law Lavina Ross, siblings Pat, Debbie, Robert, Arthur, Sonya (Laurin), Yolanda, brother-in-law Gary (Karen) Bertrand, several nieces, nephews, extended family members and his fur baby Jake.
Lloyd was born and raised in the Salmon Arm area where he lived the majority of his life. He was a cowboy through and through who loved horses and always enjoyed horse activities with his equally devoted "horsey daughter." They spent many hours riding together. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends.
He spent many hours fishing with his fishing buddy; his son Tyler. Lloyd has always had a passion for music; Lloyd and Debbie could often be seen at church events, funerals and weddings with Lloyd on his guitar and Debbie quietly singing alongside him. He was a man of faith who was always active in his church. He loved his church family with all of his heart.
Lloyd was the kind of person that if anyone was ever in trouble or just needed help with anything he would be the first one there. He was a wonderful friend to many people and he had the ability to make everyone feel special. We will miss his bear hugs, smiles and the joy he emitted to all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the first responders, paramedics and RCMP members for their professionalism, sympathy and dignity. There will be a Memorial Service held for Lloyd at 11:00 am at the Vernon Alliance Church on Monday, January 29th, 2018 (2601 43rd Avenue, Vernon, BC).
There will be a reception to follow at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant Valley Adventist Academy (1802 45th Avenue).
