Loren was born on June 8th, 1940 in Huallen, Alberta and it is with great sorrow that we announce his passing in the Gateby Care Centre on September 1st, 2022 at the age of 82 years.
Loren will be fondly remembered by his wife Bobbie, to whom he was married for 52 years; his children, Shelley, David (Krista), Stephen (Mechelle) and Stacey (Ryan); seven grandchildren, Leanne, Michael, Kyle, Wade, Anika, Liam and Grace; five great-grandchildren, Sophia, Cash, Kane, Ellie and Averie; his siblings, Elaine, Otto (Hazel), Rose (Vern), Carol (Ted) and Julia (Robin); a sister-in-law, Kathy; together with extended family members and the numerous friends he made during his lifetime.
He was predeceased by his brother, Marvin; brother-in-law, Dave and son-in-law, Larry.
Loren was a kind, hardworking family man with a generous heart and a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He loved the simple life and nothing gave him greater joy than being able to bring his "famous" buns to share at a family meal, or relaxing in his recliner with Buddy on his lap.
Loren gave much love to his family and friends and he will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him.
In respecting Loren's wishes, he was cremated and a private service will be held by invitation only. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Loren to the charity of their choice.
The family would like to thank Dr. L. Pritchett and the wonderful care Loren received from all the staff at Gateby Care Centre.
