Lorne Frederick Peter

In Loving Memory ~
Lorne was welcomed Home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 8th, 2023 at the age of 82 years. He was born on August 7th, 1940 in Prince George, B.C. to Adolf and Mary (Bieber) Peter.
Most of Lorne's 30 plus years of teaching was in the Math Department at Seaton Secondary School in Vernon. He was well known for his math games and jokes filled with "puns". Lorne was always telling jokes to anyone who would listen; right up to his last healthy days here on Earth. He lived out his Christian faith with joy and humor.
Lorne will be missed by his wife Janet (nee Houghton); two daughters, Sarah (James) Rowat and Rebekah (Jason) Beck; two granddaughters, Lauren and Emma-Leigh Beck, whom he loved dearly.
He was a beloved brother to Ruth (Reuben) Bauer, Darlene (Lee) Smithson and Allan (Sherri) Peter, and an uncle, friend and teacher whose life has left such an amazing impact on everyone he knew.
We rest in the fact that Dad is walking and leaping and praising God in his Heavenly Home, now reunited with his son Justin, and those who have gone on before him.
Cremation preceded a Celebration of Lorne's Life which will take place at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3412-15th Avenue, on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 2:30 P.M.
Family and friends are invited to attend but for those who are unable to do so, the service will be live-streamed at www.emmanuelvernon.ca
