It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lorne Leonard Schroeder on March 16, 2018 in Vernon, BC. 

We'd like to thank the staff at the Hospital & Community Integrated Services, Coldstream Meadows Lodge, and The Hamlets at Vernon for their kindness and care of Lorne.

Lorne will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Sandra Walter (Doug).  Grandchildren Chris and Heather Ferroux, Edmonton AB. 

Lorne is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters, Earla Horne, Kamloops BC, Shirley Reiser, Whiterock BC, Joyce Dardis (Jim) Edmonton AB, Deanna Dardis (Jack), Calgary AB, Gladys Marchand (Ivan) Vernon BC, Ron Schroeder (Irene), Vernon BC, Larry Schroeder, Vernon BC, Clarence Schroeder (Graciela), Vernon BC, Sharon Saitz (Gary) Langley BC, Donna Schroeder, Vernon BC, Darlene Hadden (Harry), Grinrod BC, and Fred Schroeder, Vernon BC, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Lorne was born on May 4, 1934 in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Lorne was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Geraldine Elizabeth Schroeder, nee Brewer, father Fred, mother Hilda, and brother Harold. 

Lorne worked for 35 years driving logging truck. In retirement he enjoyed fishing, salvaging, gardening, and woodworking. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Armstrong Bible Chapel, 2145 Rosedale Avenue, Armstrong, BC on April 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., followed by tea. 

Internment at 3:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 4 - 1551 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9.
