In loving memory ~

Lorne Murray Marshall born December 29, 1938, passed away November 14, 2024 surrounded by his family at Vernon Hospice.

Lorne was born in Nakusp, B.C. and grew up in Burton. As an infant Lorne became quite ill which required the family to take Lorne to a specialist in Spokane. His health improved and he spent much of his time fishing in the many creeks with his brother Ken and Dad.

The family moved to Vernon in 1953 and Lorne played on some of the championship baseball teams coached by his Dad Clark.

Lorne was an entrepreneur and a born salesman. In his early years working as assistant manager at Overwaitea in Salmon Arm, Gordon Skinners Menswear in Vernon. He moved back to Nakusp and purchased the Nakusp Hardware Store, returned to Vernon to open Esquire Menswear, Contract Supply and eventually took over as manager at Bennett's store in Vernon in 1979 from his Dad Clark. He later was involved in real estate properties for several years.

Lorne loved Palm Springs and Mexico holidays - with a cervaza in hand.

Lorne is survived by his wife Janice, sons Murray [Maureen], Steven [Karin], Brad [Kylie] and Cameron [Nicole].

Brothers - Ken, Stuart and Roger Sisters - Sandra and Barbara. 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be held in the Spring.
