A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.
Lorraine was born and raised in Lumby, B.C. and passed away in Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 80 years young.
She is survived by Raymond, her husband of 60 years, her children Rick (Kim), Laurie, Randy (Judy), Michelle (Fred); grandchildren Brandon, Melissa (Ryan), Shawna, Tanya (Shawn), Kyle, Taylor, Cara (Cody), Christian, Dyllen, and Josee; great-grandchildren Zoie, Tarik, Drake, Hayden, Brooklynn, and Damien; brothers and sisters Diane, Manny (Louise), Paul (Josette), Jim (Charlene) and Judy (Gary) as well as extended family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Reg and Ruby Blaney, also son-in-law Glen "Ernie" Robertson.
She has a big heart and enjoyed life. She always had a smile on her face that lit up every room she went into. She always took on the world with confidence and no complaint. She will be truly missed and loved by all the people she touched in her lifetime.
A big heartfelt thank you to the staff at VJH 5th floor ICU Polson Tower, and 6th floor Polson Tower who took amazing care of both Lorraine and Ray (who was in VJH at the same time). Doctors, nurses, social workers, and care aides we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Also, a big heartfelt thank you to the paramedics who took Lorraine in, and thank you to the doctors and nurses in Emergency.
A celebration of life tea will be held at a later date.
