Lorraine Elsie Mackay
We regret to announce the death at Hospice House
on October 10, 2008, of Lorraine Elsie Mackay,
at the age of 76 years. Lorraine was born in
Revelstoke and was a resident of Vernon for over
50 years. She was an ardent gardener, a talented
cook, and a longtime devoted member of the
Ladies Guild at Knox Presbyterian Church, but
her great passion was her love of family. She was
predeceased by her fifi rst husband, Earl A. Mackay, in
1996, and her second husband, Leon Richardson
in 2008. Lorraine will be sadly missed and
lovingly remembered by three daughters: Linda
Henrickson, Ramona Mackay (Jim), and Darlene
Mackay; son Andrew (Brenda); grandchildren:
Shane, Brad, Tyson, Matthew, Chad and Nadine;
and great grandchildren: Shalena, Danika, Zane
and Hunter. She is also survived by sisters Helen
and Alice and a number of nieces, nephews,
and extended family members. Cremation
will be followed by a Memorial Service, to be
held at Knox Presbyterian Church on Thursday,
October 23, at 11:00 A.M., with the Reverend
Dr. Edward Millin offifi ciating. In lieu of flfl owers,
friends wishing to do so may make donations
in her memory to North Okanagan Hospice
