Lorraine Freeman

Lorraine was born and raised in Vernon on November 13, 1921 and passed away peacefully February 16, 2007 at Polson Extended Care Unit. She will be lovingly remembered by one son Greg Freeman (Irene), three granddaughters Brenda Kulak (Glen), Tina Jones (Tom), and Debbie Brown (Steve), one grandson Mathew McGee, six great-grandchildren Rory, Marissa, Brennon, Jordan, Hayden, and Hannah, and one niece and one nephew. She was predeceased by her first and second husbands, a daughter-in-law (Betty Freeman), mother (Kate Owen), brother (Ron Chew) and son (Stan McGee).

Lorraine lived with her mom for much of her life. The two worked diligently together at the Towne Theatre for 31 years until her retirement in 1986. She also worked for Davidson & Co., and CJIB. She loved taking care of and being with her granddaughters and did so often, especially after their mom passed away. Her love of animals, in particular cats, was also very evident.
