In loving memory of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louie Non Chip Jong. Born in Xinhui, Guangdong province of Canton, she came to Canada to join her husband, Jong Hughie (Yui) in 1954. There they established their legacy in the community of Armstrong with the Shanghai Chop Suey House, and Jong’s Vegetable Garden. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and being outdoors. To the ones who knew her, they always felt her courage, strength, generosity, and compassion for others. She was surrounded by loved ones and will be greatly missed. She is predeceased by her husband Jong Hughie 1977 and she is survived by her six children, Allan (Penn), Mary, Joan (Kalvin) Krause, Margaret (Allan) Harrison, Jeannie, Danny (Jenny), and nephew Wayne (Virginia) Chung as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will take place at the Armstrong Bible Chapel, 2145 Rosedale Avenue, at 11:00 am on Monday, April 11, 2016.
