Mabel Jeanette French passed away peacefully in the Polson Extended Care of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital with her loving family at her side at the age of 79 years. Mabel is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Richard (Dick) of Vernon, two daughters, Percy-Ann (Jery) Urquhart of Kelowna, Fran (Dennis) Sponholz of Vernon, two sons, Brant (Anne) of Vancouver, Duff (Julie) of Cochrane, AB, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two brothers, Edgar (Connie) Dobie, George Dobie, one sister Barbara (Stu) Robertson all of Vernon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mabel was predeceased by her parents George and Gladys Dobie, and one brother Robert Dobie. Mabel was born, raised and lived all her life in vernon, she was an accomplished pianist and vocalist and enjoyed curling and golfing. A Celebration of Mabel’s life will be held on Saturday, February 19th, 2005 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Schubert Centre.
