Margaret Forsyth

Margaret Ann Forsyth

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret on Wednesday, August 7th, 2013 at the age of 76 years. She was called Home to be with her Lord following a short battle with lung cancer.

Margaret was born in Calgary, Alberta on April 8th, 1937 to Joseph and Catherine (nee Laughlan) Campbell.

Margaret will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son Randy (Diane) Forsyth of Vernon, and her daughters, Kathy Piotrowski of Kelowna, Patty (Jim) Heath of Edmonton, and Karen (Todd) Dew of Vernon, her grandchildren, Kristen (Greg Cockburn), Kayla, Karalyn and Matthew Forsyth, Jessica and Sean Piotrowski, Patrick and Michaela Dew, and her sister, Helen Campbell of Asbestos, PQ.

Margaret had a keen sense of business knowledge, and for many years supported her family as the owner/operator of 6-4 Building Maintenance. She moved on to work for the Vernon Credit Union and the Vernon Credit Bureau, before finally finding her niche as a financial planner with Investors Group. After her retirement in 2001, she treasured the opportunity to spend more time with her family who was very dear to her heart, and pursue her creative interests.

The Funeral Mass was held on August 13th at St. James Catholic Church with Reverend Father Vincent Asomugha officiating.

The family gratefully appreciates the wonderful and compassionate care given to Margaret by the many doctors, nurses and staff of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, especially Dr. Pritchett and Dr. Hardy, also all of the wonderful and caring staff at the Vernon Hospice House.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Margaret to the Vernon Hospice House, 3506 27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.
