MARGARET HARRIOTT HARRISON

MARGARET HARRIOTT HARRISON

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Harriott Harrison (nee Webb) on October 27, 2004. Marg was born in Moose Jaw, Sask, on August 12, 1925. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George, who, during her long battle with a rare form of Parkinson’s Disease, has been her devoted, primary caregiver for the past 10 years. She is also survived by her sister Jean Kenyon and husband Doug of Maple Ridge, BC; daughters Cathy Klukas and husband Arthur of Vernon, BC, and Stacey Harrison of Wolseley, Sask.; grandchildren Kimberley Jeeves; Kendal Oswald and husband Chris; Kelsey Jeeves; and great-granddaughter Payton Oswald, all of Regina, Sask.; Josh Engel and wife Stacey, of Red Deer, Alberta; Amanda Engel of Windsor, Ont.; and numerous other family members.

The family would, at this time, like to give their many heartfelt thanks to a number of people who helped Margaret and her family during her time of illness. In particular, a huge thank you to Dr. Dave Arnold and his family. Dr. Arnold is a doctor who has such compassion and kindness that it is our privilege to know him! We can’t begin to ever thank him for all of the wonderful care, expertise and genuine heartfelt kindness he provided, but most of all, we must thank him for treating his patients like human beings, not cases. Thank you also to Dr. Terry Curran for his patience, caring and expertise. Thank you to Linda Cook and Tina Rockford, who have been the most wonderful, kind caregivers and friends that one could ever hope for. In lieu of flowers, we would please request that donations be made either to your local Heart Foundation or Parkinson’s Foundation.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, at 2:00 pm, in the chapel of Vernon Funeral Home, with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating.
