1912 – 2016
Margaret Jane ‘Madge’ Callens (nee Robertson) passed away in Enderby, on February 18, 2016 at the age of 103.
A true pioneer of Mara, Madge was born August 27, 1912 on her parent’s farm at Mara. Madge was a Life Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, 77 years of service, and will be fondly remembered for her hospitality.
Forever missed by her three children: Larry (Alice), Ian (Marg) and Jeanne (Rick) Garner, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Mara Community Hall on Easter Saturday March 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. with tributes by family and friends. Refreshments will be provided by the Order of the Eastern Star.
