Margaret Mary Chastkavich

March 13, 1942 - July 4, 2022
In loving memory ~
Born on a Friday the 13th Margaret joked that it was a lucky day for her; she lived a full life and passed away peacefully at North Okanagan Hospice on July 4, 2022.
Predeceased by her loving husband Emil and his son Ken, Mom is survived by her children from her first marriage (Pearson): Andrew (Lela), Joanna (Kim), Mark (Erin) and her grandchild Alex; her daughter-in-law Trudy, her sister Frances and beloved nieces and nephews in BC and England.
A lifetime member of the Catholic Women's League (CWL) and devout Catholic, mom was blessed with a gift for music which she shared in service as a lay minister with Emil. Mom was a lover of animals, art and travel and a passionate defender of justice and truth.
Special thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at VJH, the Vernon Community Health Care team (especially to Karen Kelly and Rachelle who brightened her days). Her family is grateful to Barb Schimpl for her steadfast care through the hospice.
A funeral mass will be held on Sat. July 16 2022 at 11 am at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church in Coldstream.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.
