Needham (Palmer), Margaret
Margaret passed away peacefully on May 20, 2006 at Pine Acres Care Home, Westbank, B.C. Margaret was born on October 14th, 1913 at Battleford, Saskatchewan.
Margaret’s mothers’ parents came to Canada in 1903 with the Barr Colonists and settled in Battleford, Saskatchewan.
Margaret was predeceased by her first husband Len Pigeau in 1979, her second husband Len Needham in June 2005, her son Douglas Pigeau, grandson Lyle Wayne Pigeau, great-grandson Wesley Palmer Pigeau, brothers Gus and Eric Palmer and sister Sylvia Lucke.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, Wes (Diane) Pigeau of Vernon and Len (Elaine) Pigeau of Terrace, her sister Lillian LeBlond of Vernon, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Margaret became an RN in 1935 from Kamloops Hospital. She nursed at Penticton for 20 years and Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace for 16 years.
Margaret spent many happy years traveling in her motorhome and fishing at Francois Lake with her husband Len Needham. Margaret was a very caring person and will be missed by her family and friends.
Margaret’s final resting place will be at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Vernon with her parents and son Douglas.
