MARGARET NEWLOVE

MARGARET NEWLOVE

NEWLOVE

A heart of gold stopped beating

Hardworking hands at rest

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.

The leaves and flowers may wither,

The golden sun may set,

But the hearts that loved so dearly

Are the ones who won’t forget.

It is with great sadness that we announce that Margaret Patricia Olive Newlove passed away at her home, in the arms of her loving husband, on September 19, 2011, at the age of 84 years.

Margaret was born in Bristol, England, and served during World War Two in the Women’s Royal Air Force. She married her husband in 1957 and was a military wife until retirement to Vernon in 1991, spending 21 years outside of Canada with the military, in addition to numerous postings across Canada.

Margaret will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, John; by her children: Joanna (Jim), Roger (Jacie), and Brian (Chris); and grandchildren Alanna, Devin, Joshua and Katie.

A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Monday, September 26, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, with the Reverend Rita Harrison officiating. A reception will follow in the chapel Tea Room. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Margaret to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155. Condolences may be offered at www.vernonfuneralhome.com
