It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom in the Vernon Hospice House June 7, 2016 surrounded by loving arms.
Mom struggled with poor health for many years. Her courage and strength was an inspiration to us. Her sense of humor carried her through many hard times. Mom enjoyed using her computer, gardening, playing with her beloved animals and skyping with her grandchildren.
It takes an army to help care for someone when they are so ill. Mom’s amazing army included Drs. Borchert, Mobbs, Rankin, Bachand and Mirchandani. The Doctors and Nurses in our second home, Emergency. The family in Ambulatory Care. The kindness of social workers Bonnie and Sheila. All the Home Care Team. Community Oxygen, OT and Lifeline. Last but not least, Hospice House. You gave Mom comfort and dignity when she needed it the most.
No funeral service will be held at Marg’s request.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Vernon Hospice House or the BC SPCA.
