We regret to announce the passing at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on February 9, 2014, of Marie Rollande Hamilton (nee Berube) at the age of 78 years.

Rollande was born in Villeneuve, Alberta, and was a longtime resident of the Lower Mainland of BC, prior to moving to Vernon in 2003. She was a longtime employee of Chevron Canada, and loved curling, golfing, and gardening.

Rollande was predeceased by two brothers, Larry Berube and Raymond Berube. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Dallas Hamilton of Vernon and Charmaine (Ted) Van Horn of Langley; and four grandchildren: Kyle, Deanndra, Tyler (Esther) and Brandon (Ferrice) and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers: Al (Yolanda), Richard, Robert (Enid) and Bernie (Sherry) and sisters: Theresa (Goldie) Tripp, Lorette Wright, Fern McKean and Simone Berube; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 14, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew Vander Leek officiating. A reception will follow in the Tea Room. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Rollande to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.
