Marion Ora Woolley

July 15, 2020

January 12, 1925 - July 15, 2020
With great sadness we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Marion Ora Woolley on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020. She was surrounded by her children when she passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, at the age of 95 years.
Marion Ora Rohl was born in Keoma, Alberta on January 12th, 1925 and was raised by her parents, Elizabeth and Philip Gerlitz. After marrying William John Brears in 1946, she was blessed with and is survived by five children: Fay (Herb) Arbuckle, Marsha (Richard) Comazzetto, Delmer Brears (Sharon Woelke), Ora-Lynne Day and Shelly Dorigo, together with their families.
Marion moved to Vernon in 1967 and after the sudden passing of her husband, William in 1970, she met Melvin George Woolley. They were married in 1972 and continued to build a loving, tight-knit family that has grown to include twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband Melvin "Bud" in 2015; one granddaughter, Falisha Dorigo; and two sons-in-law, Bryan Dorigo and Marvin Day.
Marion faced life's storms with grace, had an eye for beauty and a kitchen full of love and delicious foods. She was the heart of our family that brought us all together and although she will be missed, she will always be loved and remembered.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory for Marion to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 5L2.
A private Graveside Service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery when Marion is laid to rest beside her husband Bud.
Funeral arrangements have been made with Bethel Funeral Chapel Ltd., 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5 250-542-1187
