June 22, 1928 - August 10, 2018
The family of Marjorie Blatchford sadly announces her passing on August 10th after a brief illness.
She is survived by her sister Shirley Foord of Vernon, her children Doug (Millie) of Oliver, John (Elaine) of Surrey and Shirley (Mike) of Vernon, her grandsons Paul (Kari) and Jason (Krista) and great grandchildren Jonah and Simone. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Bruce in 2012.
Marjorie was born and raised in Calgary. She met Bruce Blatchford in her high school years and they married in 1947. They started their family in Calgary and in 1965 moved to the Okanagan and settled in Coldstream.
Marjorie was devoted to her family and spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed a variety of activities including hiking, x-country skiing and swimming. In later years, she became an avid golfer and was a regular in the seniors bowling league. Marjorie will be remembered for her sunny disposition and her ability to sing any song.
