In loving memory ~ We regret to announce that Marjorie French, our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend has passed away peacefully on October 21st, just before her 82nd birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Ted, her mother Verna, her father Fernando, her stepfather Engel, her brother Raymond, her daughter Judy, and her son Raymond. She is survived by her brother Darwin (Fuji) and family, her sister-in-law Dawn and family, her son Clayton (Lynn), her grandchildren Travis (Haley) and Eli (Devon).
Marjorie was devoted to her children, grandchildren and many friends. Throughout her life, she was often found lending an open ear and a warm embrace to those who needed it. Never one to turn someone away, Marjorie's heart was always open and the coffee was always on.
A lifelong lover of animals and critters of all kinds, especially cats, Marjorie always ensured that the neighbourhoods many animals were well fed and cared for. Many of these critter were often found in her immaculate and beautiful flower beds, which flourished under her natural green thumb. An artistic soul as well, she was often found collaging the many family members into extravagant collections of photos for all to enjoy. She also crafted many wonderful variations of afghans and blankets for those who needed them.
Marjorie would be best described as one of a kind and a truly special person. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
As per her wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the Vernon SPCA in her name.
