We regret to announce the sudden passing of Marjorie Lorraine Wise (nee Coursier) on Monday, October 30th at 92 years young from complications from a fall and concussion.
Beloved eldest daughter of Dr. Leon and Geraldine Coursier.
Survived by children Sharon Wise, Wendy Wise & Greg Wise of Kelowna, & Richard Wise of Sudbury Ont. & her grandchildren Sarah and Katie Wise of Sudbury Ont. & Kaisa Wise of Kelowna.
She was born April 24, 1925 in Edmonton Alta and raised in Wainwright Alta until relocating to Vernon BC in 1938. A graduate of Fulton Senior Secondary who travelled to Chicago Illinois for art schooling before marrying John Wise of Toronto (pre-deceased 1990) and raising a family of four, she returned west to her roots in Vernon in 1980.
Former Chapter President of the Vernon IODE, dedicated fundraising volunteer for the Vernon United Church & avid gardener & crafter. A Celebration of Life to be held in April 2017.
